The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary was established by Congress in 1939 to assist the Coast Guard in promoting boating safety.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to leverage our resources in the most effective manner to deliver a superior level of service to our customers including the United States Coast Guard, our Auxiliary members, and the boating public.

We will focus our efforts in our traditional cornerstones of member services, recreational boating safety, Coast Guard and state support, and fellowship.  We will provide additional support in non-traditional roles to the best of our ability.

We will listen to, actively engage, and assist our customers in protecting, people, property, and the marine environment while maximizing our support in their prevention, preparedness, and response roles.

Recognizing that our people are our number one resource, we will endeavor to educate, train, develop leadership and management skills at all levels and advance their safety and well being.

We will be committed to the Coast Guard values of

Honor, Respect, Devotion and Duty
